The legendary Rácz Bath is found in Tabán, the first District of Budapest. The eldest part of the bath is its Turkish dome, once called “small bath”. This section has been preserved in excellent condition throughout the centuries, so it could be restored completely to its original form. Unfortunately, only about 30-40% of the Romantic tracery of the Ybl dome and the shower hall remained intact. The bath of stormy history and the adjoining 72-room hotel are expected to finally open in 2016. It will be the most expensive bath, that’s for certain, but Budapest will only benefit.
